Chasing the lowest ever winning target of 74 runs, New Zealand beat Kenya by 9 wickets in just 7.4 overs in the second match of the International ICC Twenty20 World Cup at Durban on Wednesday.

Earlier, Kenya put a total of 73 runs against Kiwis after New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and elected to field.

This is the lowest score by any team in the Twenty20 format. New Zealand struck early blows in the first over itself when Shane Bond sent back MA Ouma and Tanmay Mishra, both out without scoring a run.

MR Gilliespie took another two when DO Obuya got out hit wicket and SO Tikolo was given lbw off his straight delivery. TM Odoyo(18) tried to hit few loafty shots but could not contribute majorly. He was caught by Ross Taylor off Martin in the 9th over.

Next to follow Odoyo was Nehemiah Odhiambo(0) in the same manner. CO Obuya contributed 18 runs with the help of 2 boundries before he was stumped by McCullum on a Vettori delivery. Obuya and Odoyo scored 18 runs each while six batsman could not score a single run. For New Zealand, Gillespie took 4 wickets and Martin, Bond and Vettori got 2 each.
